Since we launched WCT nine years ago, we have offered 3 spaces on the main stage every year to clinicians who have never presented at a national conference before. Full mentorship is offered through the process, including one to one coaching from Oliver Medill, one of the UK’s leading presentation experts.

Entry criteria includes:

Never spoken at a national conference before
Submissions must be based on work carried out by you within your organisation.

Deadline for submission: Wednesday 21 January 2026
Notification if accepted on: Friday 30 January 2026

Innovations in practice:

This category embraces examples of working collaboratively with team members and patients to lead practice development and improve outcomes.

Quality improvement and service development:

This category calls for examples of focused approaches to challenging existing healthcare systems, unwarranted variations in care being addressed, and how patient-centred care has been prioritised.

Clinical case reports:

This category calls for examples of your clinical experience to share with peers how you and your colleagues have overcome clinical challenges through collaboration and patient-centred care.
